One of the most eagerly waited games last year was Virtual Grand Prix (formly Alien F1) a racing game which seems like everyone's answer to a sequel of Formula One Grand Prix with it be far more advanced both in gameplay and in graphics. Unfortunately there was delays but a definitive release date has come from publishers Epic Marketing, forecasting a launch by September/ October.

Quite possibly the ultimate F1 racing game for the Amiga?
It will contain the full 1998 championship season, 16 tracks, 22 cars and be full texture-mapped, gouraud-shaded 3d engine in 1x1 mode both in low (320x256) and medium (320x512) resolution. It boasts such features as a complete car setup sessions that includes tires, camber, 4-way shocks, anti-roll bars, brake-balancing, wings settings, gear ratios, 6 different camera views, using the VirtualCockpit(tm) system.


The opponents won't be no push over as they have a improved artificial intelligence that will make every race a challenge. If you pass other cars or crash then you can always watch an instant replay with still-motion and fast-forward features.

The texture-mapping creates a wonderful setting but you'll need to concentrate on the driving
The minium requirements for this title is at least having Aga, 4MB Ram, 030 processor, CD Drive and will support Gfx boards. Virtual Grand Prix is priced at �25.00 UK Pounds but anyone who pre-orders it now will obtain a reduction of �5.00 UK Pounds.
